Calgon "TAKE ME AWAY"

As women, we are responsible to play so many roles in our day to day lives. Last week, I found myself with a list of things to do. My intention was to accomplish everything on my list,but as I was being pulled in a thousand directions I have to say I did not get much done.
I had to focus on my children, work a full time job, develop my brand, clean my house, do a pile of laundry, plan a party, exercise, go food shopping and cook dinner, pack my children's bag, answer a ton of emails, make a ton of phone calls, develop the details for the contest taking place in Brazil, work on my website, ect.ect.ect.
WHEW! A little overwhelming and although for a moment I would have loved to jump in my bath tub and say" Calgon, Take me away!" I had no choice, but to find the strength, keep some type of balance and do the best I could to get as much done as possible. I was in need of a warriors mentality and strength.
How do we do it all Ladies? Where do we learn how to be all the roles we are expected to be?
Where do we get the time to do it all? And how do we keep up without losing our minds along the way? It must be that we are modern day WARRIORS.

The never ending 10lbs-100lbs diet

Why is it that so many of us are always starting or restarting our diets every Monday? Tomorrow I will be back to making healthy conscious food choices and resuming my exercise regiment? Why you ask? Because I gained 10lbs. after my photo shoot. I had put myself on such a strict diet and exercising program that i felt I was entitled to eat whatever I wanted. The minute i was done taking my photos, I went out to eat macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and chocolate cake. Am I proud of my food choices in the last month? NO, but everything tasted so good.
I have been every size 2,4,6,8,10,12,14 maybe even 16 when I was pregnant. Right now, I am currently a size 8 soon to move into a 10, if I dont watch it. Is it a challenge for me? YES! Do I need total DISCIPLINE? YES, but when my triceps continue to wave bye after my hand has stopped waving or when my rear end begins to have a mind of its own.I have no right to complain or allow myself to get upset with my body. I have to get up and run on my treadmill because its not like I can ask my husband to take my ass for a run. Can you imagine that Ladies? Honey, Can you please take out the trash and run my BOOTIE on the treadmill for half an hour....Make that 45 for that cookie I ate today. LOL
So tomorrow like many other Mondays I will begin. I'll let you know how it all works out. Any one doing the same thing?

The Inspiration behind the NAME and LOGO

The inspiration behind the brand " Names of Fame" and the logo that represents it originated from my belief that we all are SUPERSTARS. We all have a purpose. We all have that thing we are passionate about.
If you already know what your talent and/or passion is, are you living the life of your dreams? If you are unsure what your passion is, I am a firm believer that everyone has one? It is buried within you. Your job is to search within and find it.......AND at the end of your days, imagine for a moment looking onto a Hollywood star with your name on it. What will people be thinking and feeling when they see your name engraved on your star? Life is too short to not be living the lives of our dreams. The impressions you make here will be what you are remembered for by the ones you left behind.

The logo represents the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. It is my opinion that we all are deserving of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, except it doesn't necessarily have to be in Hollywood. Perhaps, You are a SUPERSTAR mom or Dad. (The most difficult job and most rewarding) You are perhaps a SUPERSTAR family member or Friend. A SUPERSTAR teacher, employer, scientist, creative genius, bum on the street, child living on the streets SUPERSTAR . You are the SUPERSTARS and I gain so much inspiration from you. You only get one chance to live your life as a SUPERSTAR! You only get one chance to leave your impression.What will your name be famous for?

Of course, I gain so much inspiration from the impoverished children living on the Streets. A street kid lives on the STREETS. I believe that some of our greatest talent and creative minds are amongst them. These children are so talented that they will need to use everything they've got to get out of the slums in order to live the lives of their dreams. These kids need direction, an opportunity to live as a child, food, clothing shelter, Education, discipline and a feeling that they are loved. They want to live like your children or grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They are surrounded in poverty and they are going to have to look beyond what their eyes are seeing. I look at them and all I see are superstars! It is because of them I took a leap of faith and risked it all to gain my dream.

PERFECT with all of our IMPERFECTIONS

For most of my life I aimed for perfection wanting to be the perfect size 2, have the perfect look, be the perfect daughter, get perfect grades, be the perfect friend, perfect sister and say the perfect things. This quest for perfection consumed me and the ability to never achieve it made me unhappy, exhausted, and feeling frustrated. I would see other people who looked happy and go to bed and pray for the secret to happiness. That was nearly 12 years ago and by no means am I saying that I am not still learning or am an expert. What I have learned and come to accept is that I am perfect with all my imperfections. Is it always easy? NO, especially when I am standing in front of the mirror, NAKED, LOL. It is in these times of being imperfect that we learn about ourselves which in turn creates our character, discipline, patience, and focus. My goal over the years has been to be the BEST I can be in the moment I am in. Now does that mean I dont have my days that I cant even stand myself? You betcha and you could ask my husband or girls for proof. But at the end of the day I tell myself that I just had a bad day and thats what life is about ups and downs. Its how we confront and deal with our bad days that make us better. Today after all these years I am GRATEFUL that I experienced everything I did so that I am able to teach my daughters that they are PERFECT just as they are. I love you JENNA and STELLA!! Love Peace Compassion- When we are able to learn how to be loving with ourselves and our bodies, we can then improve ourselves coming from a more compassionate, peaceful and accepting manner. This is where the lasting changes stem from.

Look at this girls body? She is getting paid to wear a Tshirt that says EAT LESS. How much less can this girl eat? This is what our daughters and granddaughters are being told is beautiful. How do you feel about that? How are they feeling about themselves? This was exactly the inspiration behind one of my themes in my 2010 collection the REVOLUTION.
